ALERT ALERT: One of eight cops indicted for framing 15+ black men. The remaining 7 still at large.

Hello Faithful Reader,

I hope this month's edition of the Black Birdseye View has found you well and in good spirits. I am well. Let me get straight to the point.

Breaking News:

The District Attorney's office indicted Ex-RPD officer Omar Abdullah for Obstruction of Justice (an act that "corruptly or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication, influences, obstructs or impedes, or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede, the due administration of justice.) {Low Level Offense}

Here are the other seven officers named in the dismissed lawsuit the DA forgot to fire and indict:

  1. RPD Lieutenant JENNINGS BUNCH

  2. RPD Sergeant WILLIAM ROLFE

  3. RPD Officer RISHAR PIERRE MONROE

  4. RPD Officer JULIEN DAVID RATTELADE

  5. RPD Officer MEGHAN CAROLINE GAY

  6. RPD Officer DAVID CHADWICK NANCE

  7. RPD Officer JASON GWINN

Back Story

Flashback to 2018, RPD/ Raleigh Police Department arrested Dennis Leon Williams JR for selling RPD drugs. RPD would later discover that the substance thought to be cocaine was aspirins. Despite Dennis Leon William Jr's dishonesty, RPD officers Chadwick Nance and ex-RPD officer Omar Abdullah recruited Dennis Leon Williams Jr to work as a confidential informant with the RPD VICE squad. Officers Nance and Williams went so far as to nickname Dennis Leon Wills Jr "Aspirin."

2021:

Officers Abdullah and Nance are both named in the dismissed lawsuit against the city of Raleigh, NC. The city of Raleigh settled a two-million-dollar lawsuit brought against them / Raleigh Police Department by the fifteen black men for:

  • Framing them

  • Kidnapping them

  • Caging them

  • Charging them

Using "fake drugs brought to them by RPD paid confidential informant Dennis Leon Jr, RPD charged the aforementioned 15 black men with selling and trafficking heroin.

Mystery:

Why do RPD and Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman say the District Attorney's office has no reason to believe RPD knew that Dennis Leon Williams Jr would bring RPD fake drugs? Why isn’t Omar indicted for all 15+ black men framed?

The flashback (above) makes it clear that there is a 100 percent probability that RPD and District Attorney Lorrin Freeman did.

The bigger Picture and good questions:

How many CI's does RPD have? What qualifies a person to be a CI? How much does each CI get paid? How are the CI's vetted? Who tracks the money "paid" to the CI? Is there proof that the CI's got paid? Is paying a CI a line item? Who's tracking this money, and who's to say that RPD isn't paying the crackhead CI's $200.00 and keeping the other $7,800.00 from themselves. Why does RPD trust crackheads to tell the truth and hold RPD's drugs and money? If it was proved that the RPD officers involved had no drugs, what evidence did the SBI have that took over a year to process? Better yet why were the 15 black men charged if there was no evidence?

To date, RPD terminated one of the eight officers listed in the dismissed lawsuit.

PRESS RELEASE from the desk of Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman

"The Grand Jury of Wake County indicted former Raleigh Police Officer Omar Abdullah with felony obstruction of justice yesterday. This indictment comes at the end of a lengthy investigation into this matter. From the beginning, we have taken the harm caused with great seriousness. The standard of criminal prosecution is different than that of civil liability and separate from administrative policy violations and carries a much higher burden. The State Bureau of Investigation and our office has worked diligently to adhere this burden. Because this is a pending criminal matter now, our office has no further comment at this time. "
