What follows are “7 Jewels to Grow From.”
1.
Find your nature, your basic or inherent features, in the midst of silence, the complete absence of sound, that includes nobody but you. Let non-essential distractions, the things that prevent you from giving full attention to that which matters, stay where they are. Don’t bring them into your space because the energy, the negative or positive strength and vitality required to sustain physical or mental activity, of it will remain long after the distraction has left. Don’t let your state of mind rely on the state of mind of another. No one can have that much power unless you give it to them. Stay your path. If a meeting of trails is meant to be then so shall it be, but until then stay your course.
2.
Make a list of paramount things that bring desires that move and grow. Check things on the list off as you go to show how you grow and move and to see where provisions can be made to improve personal, physical, mental, and spiritual growth. Most things worth having are worth planning and understanding that self-investment is crucial to achievement if you intend to win in your own eyes. The enemy of your plan could be you or whoever has an ulterior motive. If you pay attention, you will know who it is. Did you know that when your prayers come from the deep that the person you speak to is yourself, and that inside you resides a wealth of wisdom that comes from souls that were living long before your existence and that you steam from greatness? It’s time to wake up.
3.
Go outside and breathe. Change your surrounding so that you can understand how you small and significant you are in the grand scheme of the vast universe. If there was no purpose for you then why else would you be? Don’t spend time trying to define your purpose. Live and know that you have fulfilled it merely by being present in each moment because they all count. Even if they don’t amount to much to you, you never can know who you reached. Seek truth and strive to be mindful before you speak. Don’t speak with tongue in cheek. Mean the words you will that spill and seal your foundation because the basis of your words are very much a part of the character that defines you to all who see and perceive you to be.
4.
Because an opinion is an unpopular one, does not necessarily mean that it is untrue. Shy away from sheep like tendencies that breed people who live to fall in line and place and not see the disruption that has always been in place, where it relates to African people born in America. Ask yourself simple questions that have the potential to unravel the myth of reality that you may have unwittingly been born into, attached to a family rich with traditions given to them by the very system that created the rat races sole purpose called confusion.
5.
Many people believe that success is that thing that people place in front of themselves to achieve, be it a personal goal or one put upon them. I choose to believe that success is the ability to see change, correction, and growth. There is no measure of success. All that matters is that one is conscious enough to see self-evolution because understanding it opens the door to the idea that achievement breeds other possibilities.
6.
Look around you. Is there anything that weighs you down that does not need to be? Is there something of no sentimental or monetary value you hold on to that simply takes up space? Do you think it is possible that you allow “things” to define or validate your worth? If so, now is the time to understand what is, indeed, valuable to you and why? Do you collect thousands of pairs of shoes that require a closet of their own? Do you have every pair of the latest kicks? Do you have many hats, purses, clothes, or other material things? Is the year, make, and model of a car more important than the mechanics of the car? Does your house have to be big because you believe that a bigger house is a better house? Do you feel the need to share every little happening in your life with others because it makes you feel good to think that others believe that you are doing well? Is your online story flawless? Could it not be possible that you bought into the programming? Things that you cannot live without are needs. Anything else is a WANT. Know the difference. If you cut back to things you need instead things that you, do you know the peace that comes from it? Do you know the saving that comes from it? Imagine if all Black people born in America all of a sudden adopted a “Need” mentality instead of a “want” mindset. I think it would single-handedly cripple the system. With the new adaptation of needs, eyes could not help but be opened to the trap of obtaining paper money, not even backed by gold. Think of it like this: "wants" are the prizes. They are like cheese in a mouse trap. Without trying people unwittingly put their hard-earned money back into the same system that placed the trap in the first place. Newfound awareness does nothing but illuminates the foundational truth that people are pawns in the systems games as long as they play it.
7.
No matter what, always be thankful because there is someone out there in life who wishes to be or have what you have. You never know the woes of others. It is easy to think the grass looks greener on the other side when you never pay any mind to the fact that you have no idea what is about the other side….outside of what you see and hear.
