I am a Certified High Conflict Divorce and Child Custody Consultant, a Best-Selling Author, and a Speaker. My own experience with a high-conflict child custody battle has given me a deep understanding of what others in similar situations face. My mission is to provide the support I once needed and help those who feel they have nowhere else to turn.
My best-selling book, Was It My Fault? A Narcissistic Abuse Survivor’s Story, was written to connect with victims and offer hope as they navigate high-conflict legal battles, adjust to life after separation abuse, and manage the complexities of co-parenting with a disordered partner.
I collaborate with law firms, public health officials, and individuals to provide guidance and support to victims of emotional abuse, as well as best practices for professionals to better serve their clients. While I am not an attorney or therapist, my experience as a SurThriver of narcissistic abuse and my credentials as a divorce consultant enable me to offer invaluable emotional support and practical advice. I can help you navigate the complexities of child custody and divorce, and empower you to face your challenges on your own terms.
Was It My Fault?: An Abuse Survivor’s Story and Guide for Navigating Narcissistic Red Flags
Love is not controlling, cruel, or manipulative. It does not break your spirit.
The question "Why didn’t you leave?" is often asked of victims without understanding the difficulty involved. After sixteen years in an emotionally and psychologically abusive relationship, I was unrecognizable to myself. Once a strong, independent woman, I had become a broken shell of my former self. It was only after enduring years of abuse and raising three children in the midst of chaos that I found the courage to reclaim my life and leave.
In this memoir, I share my journey through coercive control, emotional manipulation, and post-separation abuse. With raw honesty, I reveal the dynamics of abuse and offer psychological insights and red flags to help others recognize these patterns. This book serves as a lifeline for survivors, a guide for family and friends to support loved ones, and a roadmap for those in toxic relationships to reclaim their autonomy and heal.
Was It My Fault? aims to provide comfort and direction to those caught in abusive relationships, emphasizing that abuse is not limited to physical violence. It inspires self-discovery, healing, and empowerment, and stands as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. It’s a call for survivors to not only survive but to thrive.
